The Clinical Study of Leptospirosis, HFRS Tsutsugamushi Disease in Chun Buk-Jung Ju in 1990

Abstract
|
|
|
Authors observed 45 cases of acute febrile diseases suggesting tsutsugamushi disease, leptospirosis and HFRS. These were diagnosed clinically and serologically by IFT (tsutsugamushi 35 cases, leptospirosis 5 cases, HFRS 5 cases).
In Tsutsugamushi diseases, the results as followings:
1. Most patients were 50 59 year old (48.8 %), and occupation was mainly farmer.
2. Peak incidence month was october, novemver.
3. Main clinical findings were fever (91 %), myalgia (85 %), eschar (80 %), leukocytosis (68 %), proteinuria (45 %), abnormal liver function (71 %)
4. In serologic response, positive response was 85 %.
5. Most patient were treated by tetracycline and resulted in good response.
In Leptospirosis and HFRS, characteristic symptoms and laboratory findings were noted. (HFRS= Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome)
